A step back in our history
Café Kleimann, the tradition-keeping Café, Prinzipalmarkt 48 in Münster, invites you to linger and indulge.Since more than 70 years Kleimann uses only the finest ingredients to manufacture delicious goods of the highest quality. In baking-, confectionery- and cooking kitchen we produce everything by hand. It is a very labour intense way though but does pay off in terms of quality, flexibility and social commitment. Handcraft, experience and good ingredients make up for our high standards and exceptional taste of our products.
All that is yours to enjoy since 1934 behind the historic fassade of our house on Prinzipalmarkt 48, that dates back to 1627. This house front withstood the bomb attacks of 1945 which makes it the oldest time wittness on the Prinzipalmarkt. In order to keep its might and beauty it got three restorations in the years 1955, 1980 and 2000.
But not only the house front needs to be refreshed every now and then, our family did not make an exception so that in 1974 the first generation handed the business over to our parents Bernd and Ruth Kleimann. With them new ideas were brought into life. Our own filled chocolate range was launched, marzipan was shaped into beautiful figurines and our Café visitors can savour the flavour of decent teas up to now.
The third generation, that´s us, got in charge with the beginning of 2003. First big innovation were the thermic solar panels which supply us with eco-friendly hot water. Another modern change are the edible photographs you can get on cakes and other sweets. Yes Café Kleimann is up to date but still very special, one of its kind - exactly as our shopping window creations.
